Hope Springs Eternal

Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never is, but always to be blessed:
The soul, uneasy and confined from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.

– Alexander Pope, An Essay on Man (1734)

We are constantly reminded of the harsh world we live in, it is so easy to lose hope for better days ahead. It sounds so naive and trivial to remind oneself of the beauty that hides in plain sight…but I find it such a beautiful contradictory, a flaw and a virtue of human nature…to hope even in the darkest times.
