You are stubborn. Your love, your health nothing stops you. Where are you going, by the way?

Why should s/he stay if he could go with him/her? There are always two sides to a relationship. You set a beautiful wistful mood and the lines in the end round it up perfectly.

Who knows? Maybe it is easier to say “stay” than “goodbye”.

So many people in relationships are gone before they walk out of the room. Nice one!

Super writing, Lore! I particularly admire the way you tell us of the status and strength of your lead character by the two words “my crew”. And what a terrific close, with the haiku! This is science fiction, suffused with subtle, believable, human emotion, and I can’t praise it too highly!

Beautiful, intriguing story. I loved the way you opened it with the simple yet electrifying word: stay.

Beautifully done, Loré…
She has chosen her path and there may be moments like this, but it is still her choice.

I find it so important, it is easier to deal with things that came by your choice.

Repairing isn’t easy. Coping without loved one isn’t easy either…
Well expressed. Have a great week!

This is very intriguing. The person’s relationship with him ensures that there is a great build up in tension. Very engaging.

At least there is self-awareness in the departure. There are too many relationships where one is physically there but absent in other ways. Nicely done.
