Not personally, but I’ve had clients who are grieving the loss of loved ones who took their own lives. It’s so painful!

You have created a hauntingly tragic image. Everything, from the deliquescing sun to the knife against his pulse relates to that iconic ‘slightly crouched figure, gently swaying in the wind, falling.’ Very well conceived and written.

What a devastating story. It so clearly paints the delusion that depression gives you, that she thinks there is nobody who cares, even while the “he” of the story is right there, caring.

Oh My God….How poignant and moving. Btw, I had to look up deliquesce in the dictionary, what a lovely word, thanks for that 🙂

Masterpiece! I too had to look up deliquesce. I didn’t need to look up anything else, particularly the nuances of that last line. You should be very proud of this piece, I know I would be.

Beautiful, powerful story, and your last line encapsulates the heartbreak I felt in wondering about my old love’s last moments before he took his own life.
