You know I meant it as a compliment, Loré.
The writing is excellent, the content quite ghastly.

Dear Loré,
As the others have said, haunting. Also disturbing, dark and achingly well written.

Excellent, Loré. All sorts of things in there to ponder. You didn’t make it too easy on us, but not so difficult it frustrates us, either. Great!

Oh I just wonder if she can ever heal.. or if she has found her healer, and sometimes numbness is worse than pain

I think we swim between the waves of numbness and pain, its the only way to survive.

Such a fantastic, well-written piece and I particularly loved the opening, especially building hte sandcastle in the sky. I live near the beach and sandcastles are by nature so ephemeral and I could just picture that sandcastle falling down to earth through the clouds…splat.
Such heartache.
I hope she finds a path out of the darkness.

Seems we went in similar directions this week, Loré. I found this photo so very haunting, as I’m sure you did. It’s not a happy photo, to me, and I think you’ve done a great job of capturing just what I saw too. The music, as always is a bonus. I hope we get to hang out one day; something tells me we’re kindred spirits. xo

I feel so much better seeing many needed to look up ‘tenebrosity’. I love the word. And, I love learning new things. Thank you for that and for an interesting story on coping with pain. It’s the moments of touch that bring pain to the surface for people to face. I enjoyed this so much.
Sorry for the late response. I’m trying to cathc up with everyone.
