Void

Time for another entry in Friday Fictioneers challenge, courtesy of Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. If you want to give it a try, check the info on her blog. 100 words more or less, inspired by a photo, here we go….

A single grain of sand
a drop of water
and a speck of dust

I am all that but I am nothing

I walk the deserts
swim the oceans
and glide through space

I go through motions but I stand still

Infinity is my left hand
Eternity is my right
and Darkness is my mother

I had all that but I ran out of time

I don’t know when I began
and there is no end in sight
but my mother once told me

I am the measure of disorder

Interesting that a void is “the measure of disorder”. I agree with the other comments your use of strong words created great imagery.
