They warned me about you.

With empty pockets and sweet nothings effortlessly rolling over your tongue, you thought I landed in your lap. With pockets full of money and quietness that drove you crazy, I was just another side of the same coin.

But they failed to warn you about me.

As summer died away, we faded out, like stars on an autumn sky. Just two casualties of a war we waged against ourselves.

With your hands in my pocket and my hands around your heart, we’ll dance tonight with lights out and empty hearts…because its never enough.

  1. As always, love the story and prose you worked; the music is icing. The addictive, possesive side o love, that so many of us have experiences. You always blow me away.

Loré, Loré, I can’t possibly explain it, but you’ve been on my mind. I’ve been stuck with writing, with all of it… not sure what it’s about, but stuck. I couldn’t find your email, or FB, so here I am. I’m trying to remember where you live?? I know I’ve asked, but I can’t remember… I’ll start there.
