Dear Loré,
Just two casualties of a war we waged against ourselves. I love that line. Well written.

What a wonderfully cynical view of life, beautifully expressed.

Ah.. so sad when you wage such war against each other… I guess in the end it’s just pain that keep them together.

It never ceases to amaze me how people can hurt each other so expertly, especially in matters of the heart.
Bravo, Loré.

As summer died away, we faded out, like stars on an autumn sky. Just two casualties of a war we waged against ourselves. Beautiful and sadly true for many people, I imagine.

So many phrases I loved in this short story. ‘With your hands in my pocket and my hands around your heart’ is my favorite.

As always, love the story and prose you worked; the music is icing. The addictive, possesive side o love, that so many of us have experiences. You always blow me away.
Loré, Loré, I can’t possibly explain it, but you’ve been on my mind. I’ve been stuck with writing, with all of it… not sure what it’s about, but stuck. I couldn’t find your email, or FB, so here I am. I’m trying to remember where you live?? I know I’ve asked, but I can’t remember… I’ll start there.

Dear Dawn,
Thank you, as always. I immensely value your words.
I live in Croatia, just an ocean between us. 😛 You can reach me through FB, we are already friends there. 😉

I just left a long message on FB. I had looked at messaging you there, but it looked like you don’t use your FB acct much. I have friends who NEVER check there, and I didn’t want to risk missing you. 🙂 The bottom line: I’m coming to Croatia! 😀

Love does hurt. But not to love or being cynical or distrustful about love makes you sterile.
Love is a giver not a taker. Guess they didn’t understand that love is costly but worth the price!
