Time for another entry in Friday Fictioneers challenge, courtesy of Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. If you want to give it a try, check the info on her blog. 100 words more or less, inspired by a photo, here we go….

The perfectly intact mirror reflects all my broken pieces, throwing them back with a deadly velocity. But they just melt into me, pushing out the darkness.
Chasing my own shadows for years, I am standing still at last. It took forever, but I know it now…the doors were never closed, I just lacked the courage to step through.
Looking at my reflection, I see the stars in my eyes.
Because I don’t measure the pain with my tears. I conquer it with my smiles.
I am made of stardust.
Just a little bit of musing today…Mama said there’d be days like this.
