Mwahahaha!!!! I tricked you all, my minions! From now on I am the one and only host of After Before Friday Forum!!!
Ok, ok…just this Friday. Our Mom Stacy is enjoying some family time, so we are temporarily gathered here. There will be a post from Stacy with all the usual stuff and one big reveal – September One Photo Focus Reveal. It will be one from Benjamin Rowe of Aperture64 and I do hope it’s a bug. 😛 For all the details check her blog Visual Venturing.
Moving on to this week’s ABF submissions.

Big thanks to Loré this week for taking on the responsibility of the ABForum whilst Stacy takes a well-earned break. Continuing with my experimenting with Photoshop, I have been playing at turning a photo into a sketch. See my post for more details.

I say 😛 :
I just wanted the image to look more vibrant and shiny. So, I polished it a little, cropped more tightly and adjusted exposure and colors. Nothing fancy, I liked this image from the beginning, hence modest editing.
That’s it folks for this edition of ABF Forum. Be sure to visit every participant and say something nice. 😉 Thank you all who sent their images, visited, left comments or cookies…Next gathering is on September 4, over at Stacy’s Visual Venturing.
Have a nice weekend!

Your image has a great composition and balance, and then you made it pop. Really nice. And thanks for hosting. 🙂

Nice work on the shiny image! Love the more saturated colours and the improved reflection.
Do we call you Mother now? Or will Auntie Loré do? 🙂

Thanks again for taking over the hostess duties, Loré. And I loved what you did with your image. The minor adjustments had excellent impact.

I was glad I could help, it was no trouble. Thank you for your kind words, Robin. Sometimes it is hard to restrain yourself, but I managed somehow.

Be careful what you wish for – Stacy just might let you have it! That was very sweet of you to take it over for her this month. It’s always so much easier to do things with friends who help out.
I loved Katie’s flower photo – I really have to try that out. But they were all good as always, just in different ways.

Lore, you did great in both hosting and editing! 🙂 The lighting in your image is great and you really brought it out even more. Beautiful! And thanks again for taking the reins!

Tnx, Emilio. It is one of those images you like from the start, seems everything worked well. That is so rare. 😛 It was my pleasure hosting the challenge, but next time I will nominate you.

Hi, Loré! I’m baaaack 🙂 I can’t tell you how wonderful it was for you to manage this past ABF. The hostess with the mostest! In fact, I liked it so much that maybe you’ve started a new thing here – a round robin of hosting 🙂 Anyway, I was able to concentrate on my daughter, knowing ABF was in wonderful hands.
I enjoyed all the submissions (as I always do), and liked the light, but very effective touch, you gave to your mama duck and her adorable ducklings. You’re right – it was a strong image to begin with!
