Avast

Time for another entry in Friday Fictioneers challenge, courtesy of Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. If you want to give it a try, check the info on her blog. 100 words more or less, inspired by a photo, here we go….

I pray for the rain, to wash away my burning tears.

I long for the relief, to silence my beating heart.

I crave to see us once more, dancing on the white crest.

Did you send them for me, the seagulls?

Have you changed your mind, will you save me from this limbo?

Can I  find my home next to you, would you share with me the deep blue?

I pray the waves crash my barque,  I hope the winds break my masts.

Take me to the high seas, for there is nothing left of me.

  1. Not a big poetry fan, but this piece is intriguing. Will need to come back and read it again. Perhaps view other people’s comments. Have to be honest and admit I struggle to get into poems at times. I like the language but can get lost in the meaning. Cheers!
