Power vs Power

Monochrome Madness. Week 1 of year 2. That has a nice ring to it. I am looking forward to sharing more monochrome images with the world.

This year there will be something different, the first MM of each month will have a theme. Our first theme will be the letters MM and I think it will test our creativity in an interesting way.

This is the image of the chimney of one of my city’s power plants. It was a fun capture, with all the birds flying around it. I used Orton effect here and I like it, but this is the image I’ll probably play with some more. The color version looks very interesting, too.

I like this photo for its being simple. Those birds and the vast sky just adds to its simplicity. Good capture! and I believe that the colourful version would also be interesting. 🙂
