Come My Way

Time for another entry in Friday Fictioneers challenge, courtesy of Rochelle Wissof-Fields. If you want to give it a try, check the info on her blog. 100 words more or less, inspired by a photo, here we go….

By now it is clear she made her choice. And still, I dream she will come to me.
“I am lost without your touch.” she whispered, her words taming the hunger raging inside my fractured mind.
And yet, she found her way out…while I am still here, stuck in this dirty, empty side street of my life.
“I want to break you.” I said to her, too blind to see that all along I was the broken one.
Eventually, someone is bound to come my way. I wonder if this time they’ll finally claim my soul?

I am not a fan of sequels in Friday Fictioneers and this technically is not a sequel, I would rather call it the other side of last week’s story Anchor Me.
