Week after week I try to find something new for the Monochrome Madness Challenge hosted by Leanne Cole on her blog Leanne Cole PHOTOGRAPHY.
Sometimes I find the image that I like from the start and I engage in minimum post-processing. Other times I end up with a very different image from the original. Then there are times when I look at the photo and don’t quite know what to do. So I just let go and let my intuition lead me to unknown direction.
Too many times I end up in the dead-end alley and start anew. Sometimes I am delusional enough to think I got it. This is one of these delusional times.
It is an ordinary image of an ordinary street on an ordinary day. I tinkered with exposure, colors, highlights, shadows and it was still somewhat ordinary. Then I found this canvas overlay in PixlrExpress and I was like: !!! Me like it!!!
Hello, my name is Loré Dombaj, I am delusional and proud. 😀
Reblogged this on anadeconsuelo.

And proud you should be, Loré! I just love the the beautiful color tone you ended up with – very vintage, especially with the overlay. Well done 🙂

Thank you, Stacy. I was struggling with this image, I knew it could look great, just needed to find the right way. Overlay was a hit, the last touch it needed.
