Captain’s Log, Stardate 53714.3
It’s been 3 months since we received a distress call from Gharadius Prime. Our 5-person mission has been studying a strange anomaly, a 21st century village that mysteriously appeared complete with its residents, animals and buildings. It seems no one knows what exactly happened, they just fell from the sky. I find it very disturbing how calm and unfazed all these illegal immigrants look. When asked what happened, one shabby looking elder said: “One minute we were rolling some papers and then puff! The magic dragon brought us here!”
And now we have to locate that dragon.
Ah! Thats interesting!
Short and crisp 🙂

Thank you, Sandra. This started as a serious piece and then half way through, I lost all control and ended with magic dragons. 🙂

Love the magical twist towards the end after the sci-fi beginning. It’s amazing where creativity can take us when we let go of our inclination to control.

Loved your story! Puff the Magic Dragon took me by surprise, and I love the humorous last line.
(It occurred to me that in my story, where the whole planet gets sucked up by a beam of light, and all that stuff, there could be another dimension, where they’d end up in your story on Gharadias Prime! 🙂 That would be fun!)

Well! I hadn’t picked up the drug references in the song way back then. Nor did I know Gharadius Prime was a high grade waccy baccy. I learn so much from you bloggers.

We are here to educate. 😀 Although they denied for years that the song was about that kind of puff, they looked too happy back then. Thank you!

Puff the Magic Dragon – I love it! It’s great when a story heads to nonsenseville – my favourite kind of tale 🙂

Nonsenseville – what a great word. I need to write a story about little town of Nonsenseville and little Nonsensevillains. They will probably make no sense and be very villainous. 😀

I think most stories can be improved by the addition of a magic dragon, as a rule. Good call. Although I must admit that song did make me cry when I was little 🙂

I like that rule. I am considering to revisit my old stories and add a little bit of magic dragon in each. Thank you!
