The world is coming down on me and it’s hard to find a reason to be loved. But you put your arms around me and in a heartbeat this is home.
There is not much of a soul left in me and I wonder how long are you gonna stay this time. With my back to the wall and stone cold around my heart, I wonder if I could be the first to leave.
Like a fleeting lover, your words caress my restless spirit: “There is no home for us, wayward souls.”
And just like that, I am free.
Dear Loré,
“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.” Can’t say it better than Janis Joplin.
shalom,
Rochelle

I felt this strange connection to this week’s photo. Cold walls and glimpse of sun made me think about our own barricades. Thank you.

I think many of us feel that way at times. Then we pack it away and carry on as usual. We have to, especially if others are depending on us. Well written. —Susan

That was exquisite. I really like the “wayward souls” bit. And then, “And just like that, I am free.”
It’s perfect.

fabulous first line. A curious story, like a painting that you know you want on your wall, but you’re not really sure what it’s of. I can’t see what’s happening exactly but you’ve painted a range of emotions here that will stay with me for a while.

And like a painting, it is what you want it to be…Because, not only the beauty, but also the truth is often in the eye of the beholder. I must say I am humbled by all the beautiful words I received this week, including your wonderful comment. So, thank you for making me feel so good.

imo, everyone is an artist. some just do not know it yet. how good we become as an artist depends on how often and with what effort we try to learn and understand. and then, become our self as an artist. which as i see it is a lot of fun. and daily work, works best. if you have fun with what you are doing when you create, you will want to do it again. and that is the key. keep doing it. fun on . aloha. r.
